Becoming a Child of God
The Word existed before the beginning. The Word was with God and the Word was God. We can know the Word personally. He is the Creator of all things. He is life to us. He is the light that overpowers the darkness.
By God’s grace we really can walk with God in all things. We really can live with a passionate desire to forgive and restore others. As we humbly live out the Good News of Jesus Christ in our daily lives, we can know that God will surely take care of us.
So how can we live a life of worship no matter what? We can start by offering genuine heartfelt sacrifices to our one true God. We can listen to His voice by making ourselves even more available to His call, by trusting in His promises and by following His guidance. We can humbly walk in His blessing knowing that He will bless us with His deliverance, His guidance, His grace and His presence. We need to live a life of worship.
To demonstrate the love of Christ, we can suspend our judgment of others. We can put away our contentious spirit as we quit living behind our façade. We can rest in God’s sovereignty as we offer our lives in exchange for others. Ultimately, we can truly receive others through extending to them heart-felt forgiveness.
Hope starts from a desire for communion with God. Our hopeful condition provides space for reflection. We must allow God to be the one to act.
We can keep serving others even when we are hurting. We can keep trusting God even when we feel abandoned. We can keep acknowledging God no matter what we are going through. We can keep waiting for God’s complete blessing. God has not forgotten you. Serve, Trust, Acknowledge, Wait
We are all longing for Jesus to draw near to us so that we can be comforted and encouraged. We are all in desperate need of a redeemer who will overcome sin and death. And now by the Glory of Christ, He is the One who paid the debt we couldn’t pay. He is the One who completely fulfilled all that was promised. He is the only One who can open our eyes. He is the One who is risen indeed.
The King of Kings requires obedience as we go where He sends us, as we listen to what He tells us, and as we do what He commands us to do. The King of Kings is worthy of Praise as we humbly make a way for Him, as we praise Him for all that He has done, as we praise Him for who He is, and as we praise Him even when others turn away. The King of Kings is full of Compassion. He has demonstrated His love, He has granted us peace, He has revealed His truth, He has set us free, and He has given us life. As Christ followers God has blessed us with His very presence in our lives. But even with His presence we still need to do all we can to guard against moral failure and sin. We need to flee from sin as we refuse to participate in rebellion against our God. We need to remember our responsibilities and who we ultimately belong to. We need to shut out and avoid would-be tempters as we run for our lives from sin. We will know we are moving in the right direction away from sin when we find ourselves enduring persecution for doing what’s right.
